About Us
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website which we hope will give you an insight into school life.
Killowen Primary was originally at the opposite side of the road, the present school being built in 1936. We are naturally very proud of the long history associated with the school. The enrolment figure is presently approximately 190. This number enables the school to promote the warm, caring and friendly ethos which has become a trade mark. It also allows us to have one class in every year group, each ably supported by our compassionate, well-qualified team of 16 classroom assistants. School is always busy but no-one is ever too busy to take time to care.
Children are at the heart of our school. Your child's happiness and education is of paramount importance importance to us. Our staff are committed to developing a secure, happy environment where all children are valued and can develop to the best of their abilities. We welcome children from all walks of life and strive to make sure each child feels special and very much part of our family.
We recognise that as a parent you are the first educator of your child and therefore we endeavour to build strong/school partnerships with all of you. We appreciate the great communication and support we receive from all our parents.
